I was born somewhere,
You were from other place.
One day we discovered each other,
And we found our solace.
You were different,
Different from who I was.
When our eyes engaged,
There was a brief pause.
Two of us met, and
Discovered a new world.
In the dictionary of our language,
Love was the only word.
We started a new life, where
I was yours and you were mine.
Didn’t have anything but,
A reason to smile all the time.
The two of us lived, and had
A life of our own.
In the darkness of this world,
Every moment you shone.
In that far off land,
We built our home.
Then we had a family,
When Zara called you Mom.
We never left each other,
In each other’s arms, we stayed.
The love grew day by day,
And it did not fade.
Today the two of us are dying,
We know we’re dying together.
And we have kept our promise,
That our love was forever.
